Meet Emily

I moved to Seattle in 2018 from the Mid-West. The day I moved here I got on a flight to a state I had never stepped foot in before. Since then, I have loved exploring Washington and can’t wait to share my guide to the city with you.

A bit more about me. I enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, hosting friends & family, & shopping. My friends joke that I would make a great tour guide. I also plan about 90% of the dates my husband & I go on. And that is where the idea for Seawards was born. A way to combine all of the things I enjoy and share them with you to make exploring Seattle a breeze.

Since moving to Seattle, I’ve found myself searching the internet for suggestions that are out of the ordinary. While the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, MoPop, etc. are quintessentially Seattle, you can only do those things so many times. I find that it is also easy to get in the habit of going to familiar places when you can’t make a decision.

Seawards is a way to explore Seattle neighborhood by neighborhood. Pick a neighborhood you have been wanting to explore or let the randomizer suggest a neighborhood for you. From there you will find a curated list of things to do that are not on all of the “Top 10 lists” you’ve seen across the internet. Seawards makes planning a date or friends day out easy with suggestions by neighborhood so you aren’t trekking all across Seattle.

I am passionate about making Seawards a place that celebrates local businesses. I want to tell the stories of the people and businesses that make Seattle what it is. I hope you enjoy perusing my guide to the neighborhoods of Seattle. Stay in touch!
